Lantiseptic Skin Protectant

Monday, 15 December 2008 03:50 by Admin

Lantiseptic Skin Protectant has been used successfully on tough skin problems since 1906. Recent clinical studies have proven it effective in treating most skin breakdowns that would occur such as ulcer prone skin, skin breakdown due to incontinence , diaper dermatistis (rash), chaging and skin tears.

Lantiseptic Therapeutic Cream was developed at the request of wound care specialist who loved Lantiseptic Skin Protectant but required a barrier that was a little softer and gentler on extremely fragile and or ulcer proned skin. Lantiseptic Therapeutic Cream has been embraced by the diabetic market because it woorks extremely well on fry, cracked, redded skin, particularly cracked heels and fissures (A long narrow opening; a crack or cleft).

Making Living at Home Safer...Part III

Friday, 12 December 2008 09:05 by treym

What if a Fall Occurs?

Unfortunately one third of all adults 65 and older will suffer a fall this year, when this occurs you want to make sure that you've taken every precaution to reduce the effects of that fall.  Home Delivery Medical offers two product lines that will bring added safety to your home and reduce the likelihood of serious injury due to a fall.  The first product I'd like to cover is Personal Safety Corporation's Hip Protector.  These Hip Protectors are proven to reduce the force associated with a fall to a point below the facture threshold of the hips, according to a study performed by Collision and Injury Dynamics, Inc.

The next product available to increase the safety of your home is Personal Safety Corporation's Reversible Safety Floor Mat Set, MAT-1.  This floor mat is designed to both cushion your fall and to sound a built in alarm notifying your loved one or in-home healthcare provider that you need assistance.  This product as well as PSC's Hip Protectors are designed with you and your safety in mind and are available on Home Delivery Medical's website, www.HomeDeliveryMedical.com, come on by and let us show you how we're Improving Life at Home!

Making Living at Home Safer...Part II

Fall Management Alarms

One of the best ways to increase your quality of life and ensure a greater peace of mind is to reduce the likelihood of falls.  More than one third of all adults in the United States fall each year, these falls are the most common cause of injuries and trips to the hospital and they account for the majority of deaths due to injury in the senior population.  To combat this far reaching issue Home Delivery Medical offers several fall management alarms that are designed to both warn you and/or your in-home caregiver before a fall occurs.  The alarms made by Personal Safety Corporation, MAG-3 or SAM-1, and Smart Caregiver Corporation, TL-01, TL-02, or TL-2000, are designed with a pull cord connected to your clothing and a monitor; once the connection to the monitor is severed an alarm is sounded alerting you regain control and/or your in-home caregiver that you need assistance.  For most living at home is the ideal situation, why not make it even better!

How to Best Size Prevail Incontinence

Friday, 5 December 2008 03:30 by Admin

First Quality offers a complete line of incontinence products, they are the only manufacturer in the industry with six sizes of adult briefs! Link to the Prevail Size Wise Guide or follow the steps outlined below. Finding your correct size is easy.

1 – Measure the hips or waist, whatever is larger. Measure hipbone to hipbone and over the stomach.

2 – After obtaining the hipbone to hipbone measurement, double the measurement and add to inches.

3 – Sizes of briefs:

Youth = 15” to 22” (white)

Small = 20” to 31” (green)

Medium = 32” to 44” (white)

Regular = 40” to 48” (lavender)

Large = 45” to 58” (blue)

X-Large = 59” to 64” (beige)

4 - Link to the Prevail incontinence Weekly Specials page.

If you are larger than the X-Large size you should look into pant liners. They have a full-length adhesive strip and can be worn inside underwear. There are a variety of pant liners from very small ones to light stress incontinence or ‘dribbling’, to large super absorbent overnight products.

 “Pull Ups” or most commonly referred to as “Protective Under” for adults is available two sizes. To find out more about Protective Underwear, click this link: Protective Underwear.

 If you have more question or need help choosing an appropriate product or would like additional information about Prevail products please call us Toll Free 1-866-584-4038.
