Home Delivery Medical now provides sleep labs with all the equipment and supplies needed to manage both the study and the treatment of sleep disorders.

August 25, 2009 (Greenville, South Carolina) According to the National Institute of Health, approximately 70 million Americans suffer from sleep disorders.  The growing awareness of these disorders has led to an upsurge of sleep labs across the country, all of which rely on specialized equipment to properly diagnose and treat each patient.  Home Delivery Medical is now one of the elite medical suppliers that can fully service America’s sleep labs as well as their patients with professional equipment, supplies, and service.

Sleep disorders are a growing problem for the American public which can disrupt one’s relationships, job performance, and general health.  The goal of every sleep center is to properly identify, diagnose, and treat one of over 84 different classifications of sleep disorders by performing a polysomnogram.  A polysomnogram requires state-of-the-art technology to properly monitor the patient’s eye movement, brain waves, muscle activity, breathing patterns, body position, and heartbeat.  Home Delivery Medical provides sleep centers with the tools and equipment they need to not only run their businesses, but to properly diagnose their patients and stay ahead of their competition.

Lenny Mara, long time sleep consultant and head of Home Delivery Medical’s Sleep Center Division says, “It’s a great opportunity for Home Delivery Medical to enter the Sleep Lab market.  These sleep labs are looking for quality products, fast delivery, and competitive pricing.  From the carpet and artwork to the sensors and monitors, we are in a great position to help build these sleep centers from the ground up.”

Sleep centers across America have seen an influx of patients due to stress and anxiety caused by the recession.  Where it used to take 2 days to schedule an appointment, it may take 2 months now.  VP of Operations of Home Delivery Medical, Michael Laico, states, “Sleep science is a rapidly growing industry and sleep centers are dealing with more volume than they have been accustomed to.  While many centers used to Google products to find the cheapest price, they can now rely on a trusted relationship with an established leader in medical supplies to save them time and money.  Home Delivery Medical is a one-stop-shop for sleep centers nationwide.”
